A Benefit Concert to Help Parkway Central High School Orchestras to Get to Carnegie Hall
This event has passed. View Upcoming Events.
The Parkway Central High School Music Department provides the opportunity for students in Chesterfield, Missouri to experience a high level of music education through performance in 3 different levels of Orchestra, Band and Choir. The Orchestras meet 3 times a week during the school day and perform 6 concerts a year for the school and surrounding community. Many of the students are also involved in the Chamber Club that performs chamber music around the St. Louis area. Last year we were able to travel to New Orleans to compete in the National Heritage Festival Competition where we qualified to compete for a spot to play at Carnegie Hall.
We from the Parkway Central High School Orchestras are happy to announce that we have been qualified to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The performance will be held at Carnegie Hall on April 8th, and though we wish to be able to participate in this event, we do not have the necessary funds to travel to New York. And so we are inviting you to support us by coming to our fundraising concert that is to be held on November 15 at 7:30 pm at the Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis. In this concert, we shall be able to show you just how much our passion for music is and just how much we would appreciate any help you would be able to give us in our endeavors.
Your support will mean the world to us. Each donation goes directly to the cost of student travel expenses. Please consider helping us to achieve this once in a lifetime performance experience. We ask that you support us through donating, however, much you can. Any and all donations shall be greatly appreciated.
