“Live From The Sheldon” continues with acclaimed singer/songwriter Sarah Jarosz.
With her captivating voice and richly detailed songwriting, Sarah Jarosz has emerged as one of the most compelling musicians of her generation. A three-time Grammy Award-winner at the age of 28, the Texas native started singing as a young girl and became an accomplished multi-instrumentalist by her early teens. in addition to her lauded solo projects, Jarosz joined forces with fellow singer-songwriters Sara Watkins and Aoife O’Donovan in 20216 to form the acclaimed Grammy winning folk trio I’m With Her.
In addition to these local outlets, the concert will also be broadcast by partner venues throughout the region, including The Stiefel Theatre in Salina, KS; McCain Auditorium at Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS; Midwest Trust Center at Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, KS; ECC Arts Center at Elgin Community College, Elgin, IL; Five Points Washington in Washington, IL; Connect2Culture in Joplin, MO; Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center at the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, IA; and Pearson Lakes Art Center in Okoboji, IA.
A free, monthly, virtual series spotlighting some of the most creative artists locally and from around the country, “Live From The Sheldon” streams on both The Sheldon’s and HEC’s Facebook and YouTube pages, and is available on HEC Media’s cable channels: 989 Spectrum and 99 U-verse.
