We believe that every young person deserves to live life as a student of the arts. At The Sheldon, we work side-by-side with community schools and professional educators, welcoming anyone with a curious and creative mind.

The Sheldon’s Instrument Donation Program

Give the gift of music by donating your unused instruments to The Sheldon to be distributed to St. Louis area schools in need.

Your donation ensures that kids of all backgrounds are given the opportunity to grow and express themselves through the power of music.

Instruments can be dropped off at The Sheldon any time between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please call our reception desk at 314.533.9900 to let us know when you plan to come by.

Youth Music Programs

The Sheldon’s All-Star Chorus is a by-audition program that inspires artistic excellence in future generations by offering exceptional learning resources and opportunities to our region’s most promising young talent.

SOLID Music Project

SOLID is is a STEAM-based program that challenges students to design and create their own musical instruments by following the steps of the engineering cycle. Students learn about the connected worlds of sound, science and art.
